Frankly, I've grown weary of hearing about it. Everywhere you go it's being discussed, everywhere you look people are worried about it. Then my parents directed me toward this impacting message by John Piper entitled, "What Is the Recession For?" I would encourage you to download it and burn a copy of it or sync it to your Ipod; it has certainly aided me in viewing these issues in the proper perspective. Listening to it has strongly convicted me and helped me understand that there is a purpose for this recession, and even why we NEED it. Check it out; it's worth every minute of your time.

Agreed - it's an awesome and challenging sermon. It really challenged me. I can say we should live in a wartime mentality - or I can stop spending money unless I it meets the criterion of necessary for survival, or a tool for usage in fighting the war (and using it accordingly not for pleasure).
